Geoffrey shared insights from his book, "Scale," about the remarkable regularities that underlie how organisms, cities, and companies scale in size. This includes key insights into why organisms and companies are mortal -- they grow, stop growing, and inevitably die -- while cities have open-ended growth.
The question arises: can companies achieve open-ended growth by organizing themselves in city-like ways, and are some modern tech companies achieving this?
